Moc Toe is one of Red Wings most iconic models. This variant is made with Red Wing's Oro Legacy smooth leather with a natural finish and nickel hardware.
The name Moc Toe derives from the distinctive moccasin toe inspired by the footwear used by the Algonquin tribes of North America. The boot was originally aimed at hunters, but quickly gained a following among farmers and factory workers thanks to its modern Traction Tred outsole which remains comfortable on hard ground and pulls little dirt inside.
The last is largely unchanged since the 1950s. The upper is very similar to Blacksmith, except for the crescent-shaped toe box which can accommodate more foot shapes. The shoe is constructed with a full Goodyear welt and reinforced with double leather at the front and heel. The leather used is oil tanned at Red Wing's own tannery in Minnesota, proofing it against water, dirt and sweat. The thick leather requires a break-in period and responds well to polish.
Made in USA. This model is part of the Red Wing Heritage collection which revives the brands original models and production methods.
